From time to time Strauss Awnings has been called on to produce awnings for movies. In 1994 Strauss Awnings was called on to produce "period" style awnings for the movie The Grass Harp . This movie was based on Truman Capote's life in small town Alabama . The awnings needed to replicate the appearance of small town Alabama in the 1930's. Strauss Awnings work can be seen in this movie.
